Shawn means that it&#039;s not good to speak directly into the diaphram. He&#039;s not suggesting that the﻿ radio should be tilted, but rather that the 45 degree angle (while held vertically) will prevent garbled transmissions caused by speaking directly into it. You are right; two way radios are polarized and greater range is achieved holding the radio vertically.

		<description>I&#039;m looking for a set of radios to use with a headphone and mic combo to keep the communication quite during photo / video productions between me and 1 or 3 assistants and the client.

I would say I&#039;ll need coverage at least inside a typical hotel lobby,﻿ ball room, or house, or outside at a park.  I&#039;ve noticed the Motorola Radio CP200&#039;s are deemed to be very popular, but what do you think, especially for battery life good earpiece/mic attachments, durable. Thanks.
